In 2009, we will offer TWO camp sessions!
Session 1: June 22 - June 26, 2009
Session 2: August 3 - 7, 2009
Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
(early drop off available at 8:00 am, late pick-up until 6:00 pm)
This year's camp will be held at Muir High School
1905 Lincoln Ave, Pasadena, 91103
only a 5 minute drive from the Crescenta-Canada area!
Who may participate? Our Fundamentals basketball Camp strives to bring together players from the Glendale, La Crescenta, and La Canada, Altadena, Pasadena, and Tujunga communities. Boys and girls ages 6—15 may participate.
What is Foothill Hoops basketball all about? We emphasize fun, skill development, confidence building, and character enhancement. Age appropriate skills, instruction methods, and competition level is always a concern. We strive to keep winning and losing in perspective. We hope to build the skills, confidence, and love for the game of basketball that is necessary as a base for advanced competition.
Player Placement: Our camp will be divided into groups, placing each camper among peers and with coaches who will help them develop at their own pace as well as challenge them to be their best. We guarantee that boys, girls, and players of all ages and abilities will take something away from this camp!
Who Coaches? The Foothill Hoops Staff is comprised of college and high school athletes with previous youth coaching training and experience. Most basketball camps are staffed with coaches who rarely, if ever, work in the youth setting - but not at Foothill Hoops! Our staff has years of combined experience coaching at the Youth, Jr. High, and High School levels.
Our diverse group of counselors consists of basketball players from Crescenta Valley High School, La Canada High School and St. Francis High School, among others. Both male and females are part of the staff. Jonathan and Valerie Young, the founders of Foothill Hoops Basketball, will direct the camp. Our large Hoops Staff guarantees that your player will receive the attention that he or she deserves!
How Much? The registration fee of $179 per player covers the entire week. That's less than $6 per hour of instruction! There is a $29 discount for a sibling, $49 discount for a second sibling, (and additional siblings). Also, there will be a discount available if a player signs up for both the summer league (June - August) and camp. All campers receive a t-shirt, award, and end of the camp personalized evaluation.

Is this camp right for my player?
Beginners: Our Fundamentals Camp is a great way for players to begin their youth sports experience. Modified ball sizes, basket heights, and coaching techniques will be utilized. Ensure that your player learns the correct habits early.
Intermediate Players: Already enjoy playing? Here you can refine your skills and get even better with each drill, game, and day.
Advanced Players: Is your goal making your high school team or your league’s tournament team? Why not learn from High School Players who know what the coaches are looking for? Also, Foothill Hoops High School and Jr. High Travel Team coaches provide advanced team concepts for those players who are ready for the next level.
